(Acrylic and Aerosol on framed canvas) Arturo Sarte
Arturo Sarte is a Mexican-American artist who hails from the vibrant landscapes of southern Mexico. From a young age, he was immersed in the world of art, drawing inspiration from his grandfather and uncles who passionately painted. Self-taught for the most part, Arturo has been honing his artistic skills throughout his life.
Arturo's artistic style is versatile, adapting to the vision he wishes to convey and the medium he chooses to work with. Recently, he has found himself captivated by the realm of spontaneous realism, dedicating days to painting with acrylics. However, his proficiency extends to oils, watercolors, and various drawing mediums.
Drawing inspiration from modernity and his rich Mexican heritage, Arturo's art is a fusion of influences. He finds inspiration in the works of great artists who have come before him, such as Van Gogh with his bold brushstrokes, Boticelli's masterpieces from the Renaissance, and the evocative portrait works of his grandfather. Arturo also finds inspiration in the spontaneous realism of Austrian artist Voka.
While Arturo's exhibitions have predominantly been local, his artistic endeavors have attracted the attention of both establishments and private clients who have commissioned his work. With each stroke of his brush, Arturo seeks to portray the beauty and enchantment of his subjects. His art bursts with explosive colors and intense brushwork that can be both bold and loud or quiet and subtle, depending on the message he wishes to convey.
As an artist, Arturo aspires to promote tolerance and embrace diversity, using his creative expressions to highlight the richness of his culture. Through his artwork, he aims to reveal the power of art to inspire, captivate, and bring people together.
My art is a celebration of life, diversity, and the profound beauty that surrounds us. Through my work, I seek to illuminate the enchantment present in every subject I paint. Using a combination of explosive colors and intense brush strokes, my pieces are a reflection of the vibrant world we inhabit.
Inspired by modernity and my Mexican heritage, I draw from a wide range of artistic influences. The works of Van Gogh with their expressive yellow strokes, Boticelli's timeless Renaissance creations, the masterful portraits crafted by my grandfather, and the captivating spontaneous realism of Austrian artist Voka all leave their mark on my artistic journey.
My artistic style is ever-evolving, adapting to the vision I wish to convey and the medium I choose to work with. While acrylics have been my recent focus, I am equally comfortable with oils, watercolors, and various drawing mediums. Each stroke of the brush is a deliberate expression, capturing the essence and soul of my subjects.
Through my art, I aspire to promote tolerance and embrace diversity. I aim to showcase the richness of my Mexican culture and to remind viewers of the boundless power of art. In a world often filled with division, my hope is that my creations can serve as a unifying force, transcending barriers and instilling a sense of wonder and appreciation for the incredible beauty that surrounds us all.
